This book was written in 1900, and it has to be one of the worst books on Bushido I have ever read. It reads more like a Christian tract than a book about the samurai. The author spends far more time quoting Christian Scriptures and maxims then he does actually telling you anything useful about Bushido. You will gain some knowledge about the philosophy of the samurai by reading this, but sadly, it’s not enough to make the book worth while. There are much better books on the subject than this one.
